| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Acaulecent. Leaves 13; leaf sheath 4.5 cm long, open; petiole 19 cm long, section round; rachis 6.5 cm long; lamina entire, 6.5 cm long, 10 cm wide, glabrous. Inflorescence interfoliar; prophyll 3.2 cm long, 0.5 cm wide; peduncular bract 9.5 cm long, inserted 8 cm from base, brown, papery; peduncle 62 cm long, 0.4 cm wide; spike 9 cm long, 0.4 cm wide. Flowers white, sessile: fruits green, 0.6 cm long, 0.5 cm wide. DNA sample taken. Transect 1042, subunit no. 30, inside transect. |
