| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Stem 40 cm tall, 1.1 cm thick, rough; internodes 2.3 cm long; base of stem with few visible roots. Leaves 7; leaf sheath 8.5 cm long, open; petiole 11.5 cm long, section margined; rachis 22.5 cm long: lamina pinnate, glabrous; pinnae 3 per side, regularly inserted, basal pinna 8 cm long, middle pinna 6 cm long, apical pinna 4 cm long. Inflorescence infrafoliar; prophyll 0.5 cm long, 1 cm wide; peduncular bract 6 cm long, inserted 5 cm from base, brown, herbaceous; peduncle 6.5 cm long, 0.3 cm wide; rachis 0.5 cm long, 0.3 cm wide; rachillae 2-3, 15-17 cm long.
