| Field notes | Understory palm. Stems 6 m high, 4 cm thick. Petiole 50 cm long; rachis 130 cm long; lamina pinnate, 130 cm long, 112 cm wide, glabrous; pinnae 60 per side, basal pinna 16 cm long, middle pinna 32 cm long, apical pinna 15 cm long. Inflorescence infrafoliar; peduncle 25 cm long, 1.2 cm wide, with 2-6 cm long black spines; rachillae 1, 20 cm long. DNA sample not taken. Transect 1039, subunit no. 25, outside transect |
