| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Acaulecent. Leaves 5; leaf sheath 14 cm long, open, with 3-5 cm long black spines; petiole 36 cm long, section round, with 4-7 cm long black spines; rachis 124 cm long, with 5-8 cm long black spines; lamina pinnate, 124 cm long, 34 cm wide, glabrous; pinnae 12 per side, regularly inserted, basal pinna 16.5 cm long, middle pinnae19 cm long, apical pinna 20 cm long. Sterile. DNA sample not taken. Transect 1031, subunit no. 64, outside transect. |
