| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Stem 132 cm high, 0.6 cm thick; internodes 4.5 cm long, green, covered by leaf bases; base of stem with few visible roots. Leaves 15; leaf sheath 5 cm long, open; petiole 9 cm long, section margined; lamina entire, 35 cm long, 10 cm wide. Inflorescence interfoliar; prophyll 2 cm long, 0.5 cm wide, herbaceous; peduncle 3 cm long, 0.8 cm wide; spike 5 cm long, 0.8 cm wide. DNA sample not taken.
