| Field notes | Cespitose, understory, liana palm. Stem aerial, 7 m long, 0.4 cm thick; internodes 21 cm long, >stem diameter, smooth. Leaves 21 per stem, well spaced; sheaths 22 cm long, closed, with up to 1 cm long spines in basal leaves; petiole 6 cm long, margined in cross section; rachis 35 cm long, plus 33 cm long cirrus; lamina pinnate, flat; pinnae 5 per side + 4 acanthophylls, basal pinna 13 cm, middle pinna 16 cm long.
