Field notes Cespitose, undnerstory, liana palm. Stem aerial, 13 m long, 1 cm thick; internodes 18 cm long, >stem diameter, brown, covered by leaf bases. Leaves 13 per stem; sheaths 48 cm long, closed, with brown, 0.2-5 cm long spines; petiole 18 cm long, with brown, 0.5-2 cm long spines; rachis 175 cm long including cirrus, with brown, 0.5-1 cm long spines; lamina pinnate, flat; pinnae 8 per side plus 10 acanthophylls, basal pinna 24.5 cm, middle pinna 26 cm, apical pinna 2.5 cm long. Sterile. Transect HB1020, subunit no. 091; UTM 19N-437708-392957.
