| Field notes | Solitary, understory palm. Stem aerial, 2.5 cm thick; internodes 2.2 cm long, < stem diameter, yellow. No crownshaft. Leaves 15 per stem; sheaths open; sheaths and petiole 45 cm long, margined in cross-section; rachis 68 cm long; lamina pinnate, flat, with 3-4, irregularly inserted, pinnae per side, basal pinna 74 cm, middle pinna 64 cm, apical pinnae 66 cm long. Old, wilted inflorescence interfoliar. Transect HB1008, outside subunit no. 003; UTM 19N-568009-426819. |
