Leaves 8 per stem; sheths open, 19 cm long, with black, 1 cm long spines; petiole 33 cm long, round in cross-section, with black, 1.1 cm long spines; rachis 26.5 cm long; lamina pinnate, flat, with 3 segments per side, basal pinna 21 cm, middle pinna 25 cm, apical pinna 26.5 cm long.
