| Field notes | Soliatry understory palm with few visible roots. Stem aerial, 72 cm high, 0.5 cm thick, internodes 6.5 cm and longer than stem diam., brown, covered by leafbases. No crownshaft. Leaves 4 per stem; sheaths open, 11.5 cm long; petiole 9 cm long; rachis 13 cm long; lamina entire, flat, glabrous, with 1 pinna per side. Inflorescence infrafoliar, with developing fruits; prophyll papery; peduncular bract brown, papery; one rachilla; flowers sessile, pistillate ones green.
