| Field notes | Acaulescent palm with litter-trapping crown comprising 18 leaves. Leaf 330cm including 150cm petiole, pinkish on emergence, few scattered scales and some rust-colured indumentum on rachis and petiole. Leaflets 39 each side of rachis, arranged regulary. Inflorescence 130cm long including 110cm peduncle, branched to 2 orders, 14 primary branches, largest primary branch 26cm long. Fruit ellipsoid, red when ripe, 1.5cm long x 1cm wide.
