| Field notes | Robust, clustering rattan to c.8m. Stem diameter with sheaths 30mm, without sheaths 22mm. Internodes 30cm. Sheath mid-green with dirty brown indumentum and partial collars of fine brittle spines. Ocrea long and papery. Leaf 200cm long including 12cm petiole. Leaflets 61 each side, arranged regularly. Inflorescence c.3m long including peduncle up to 2m, 3-4 partial inflorescences. Fruit white, spherical, 1 cm diameter.
