| Field notes | Clustered rattan, climbing to 20m. Diam. With sheath 2cm, without sheath 1 cm; internode 20-25cm. Sheath green, covered with papery ocrea passing to other sheath, used by black ants as their nest. Leaf 80cm long, petiole 5cm long; leaflets 45pcs on each side of the rachis. Falgellum to 200cm long. Male inflorescence to 200cm long. Uses: cane used as binding agent |
