| Field notes | Big solitary palm. Trunk to 25m tall, 20cm diam.; leaves 13 pcs on the crown. Sheath green covered by white indument. Leaf 5m long, petiole 20cm long; leaflets 69 pcs on each side of rachis. Inflorescence infrafoiiar, 80cm long, peduncle 10cm long; 21 branches. Trunk and leaf used for house constructions; youngshoot edible. Vernacular Name: Oratare (Sumuri lang.) |
