| Field notes | Solitary palm. Trunk 12m tall, 6 cm in diameter. 8 leaves on the crown, 29 leaflets on each side of the rachis. Sheath 70 cm long, whitish green, covered with white indumentum; leaflets divided mainly into three groups, petiole 25 cm long. The trunk of this palm in used for harpoon. Vernacular name: Sagarofa |
