| Field notes | Cultivated near the station from material collected in the adjacent forest. Caespitose with seven, up to 3 m tall steams. Stem collected 1.7 m tall. Leaf base c. 40-50 cm long, resolved at the apex in loose fibrous mesh. Petiole c. 70 cm long with shallow groove adaxially. Leaf rachis c. 100 cm. Number of leaflets 2 x 9, basal one split or gathered in group of two, grayish below. Shoot collected with two inflorescences, both past anthesis. Peduncle c. 60 cm. Rachis c. 13 cm, glabrous, and yellow, carrying 23 rachillae, these 17 cm long at the base and 12 cm long at the apex. |
