| Field notes | Solitary, acaulescent palm to 1.6 m tall, with 16 leaves in crown. Leaf 1. 7 m long including petiole with spines distributed throughout most of its length; Lamina mid green, more-or-less concolorous. lnfructescences 1.5 m long including 60 cm peduncle, 3 present, each with 7-8 partial infructescences the proximal one of which has 10 rachillae, only 2-3 rachillae at tip. Fruit corky-warty, brown-green. |
