| Field notes | Palm clustering and with aerial branching, to 2 m tall, with 8-9 leaves per crown. Stem c. 1 cm diam, with stil roots. Sheath split halfway to 2/3, green; Crownshaft c. 20 cm long, 2 cm diam. Leaf c. 80 cm long including 20-30 cm petiole; Lamina entire-bifid or divided, with praemorse distal margins. Inflorescence green with greenish-yellow flower buds. Fruit white. Transition from kerangas to alluvial forest |
