| Field notes | Clustering palm to 12 m tall, with 5 leaves per crown. Stem 10 cm diam.; internode 30 cm long. Sheath 1.2 m long, deeply split; Crownshaft ill-defined. Leaf 4.5 m long including 1 m petiole; Lamina bipinnate, glossy mid green above, pale green below. Peduncular bracts and inflorescence axes green-yellow. Flowers green. Fruit green to red. Possibly seasonally inundated |
