| Field notes | Locally common, to 3 plants/sq.m. In deep humus rich soil with 10 cm leaf litter layer above. Rhizome erect. Stipe dull green, richeer green apically and blending into the rich mid-green of the lamina, adaxially slightly shiny, abaxially matt. Largest plants with no more than 8 fronds present. Juveniles common. A grey fungus covering 80% of abaxial surface of one sterile frond (collected as PJE 2457). |
