| Field notes | Herb to 6 m, lower 1.5 w. cataphylls only, leaves spiraled but stem straight. Infl. Bracts marcescent, fl. pure white 5-7 cm across, w. yellow spot in throat. Capsule orange. Often after fertile strecht plant reverts to vegetative growth. |
