Leaves 2 - 3 per shoot; sheath 41.5 - 55 cm long, distichous, very short brown hairs; petiole 134.5 - 140.3 cm long, glabrous, pale green; pulvinus 10.5 - 11 cm, pale green, glabrous; lamina 15 x 12.7 - 47 x 36.5 cm, ovate, green above, below grayish green, apex acuminate, basis equilateral, smooth. Inflorescence interfoliar, erect, appearing to protrude from the petiole of the accompanying leaf, peduncle up to 107 cm long; synflorescence with long axis, 45 - 55 cm, glabrous, green; bract in primary axis 5 - 7, c. 15 - 17.5 x 1.5 - 2.3 cm, lanceolate, yellowish green, subtending around 2 - 3 lateral branches and 1 - 2 pairs of fruit that sprout up from same base, distichously, quickly dry; lateral bract 4.7 - 5 x 0.7 - 1 cm, lanceolate, yellowish green, quickly dry, glabrous, spirally arranged; fruits 2 - 6 per orders, sometimes 1. Fruits dehiscent, normally triangular in cross section, pale green or whitish green, glabrous, c. 12 mm long, c. 9 mm in diameter, 3 cells, sometimes 1 - 2 sterile, cell wall light dark green; seeds c. 7 mm long, ridges to facet in dorsal; white when young, black when mature or when fruits are break, aril not observed.Uses: Food packing.
