| Field notes | Epiphyte from ant nest on slender tree, 2 m long from ground, with cluster of tubers and clasping base. Stems slender, spreading, to 2 m long; flowers hanging, odorless when coll. at noon and flowers fully open, developing no odor at night; calyx light green; corolla yellowish white on outside, the lobes purple like "carrion" flrs., one lobe cupped inward, the tube yellowish white within with purple area around anther zone. |
