Leaves 12, erect and arching, lower ones recurving; sheath 73 cm long, densely armed with grey flat spines; petiole 12-18 cm long, green, with some grey spines; rachis 171 cm long; pinnae 29-30 per side, in groups of 3-5, separated by 1520 cm, occupying 9 cm, middle pinnae 21-23 x 22-26 cm (basal of a group), 44-43 x 22-23 cm (apical of a group). Infructescences interfoliar; peduncle 96 cm long, 1.3 cm diam. at apex; rachis 44 cm long; rachillae 90, of which 35 has fruitsbasal ones 26 cm long, with 3 fruits on the lower 6 cm.
