| Field notes | Tree to 25 m. Stem to 1.5 m. Leaves 6-8 m long with 80-90 pairs of pinnae. Pinnae dark green above, greyish below. Longest pinna (near the middle) 180 x 12 cm, shortest pinna (at the apex) 25 cm long. Inflorescence pendant, arising from stem just below leafbases. Inflorescence 1.5 m long, creamish, tinged pink, young fruits pale brown. Inflorescence of more than 150 spikes |
