| Field notes | Palm, acaulescent with ca. 6 contemporaneous leaves. Leaf No. 1: petiole 2.15m long, rachis 6.55m long, 112 pinnae per side, regurlarly inserted; only uppermost 16 pairs of pinnae fused, ca. 10% of leaf. Basal pinna 62 cm x 1.5 cm; middle pinna 1.33 m x 7 cm; apical pinna 37 x 1.6 cm. Leaf No. 2: petiole 1.68 m long; rachis 6.95 m long; basal pinna 1.12 m x 3.5 cm, middle pinna 1.28 m x 7.5 cm; apical pinna 28 x 1.2, 116 pinnae per side. Bract No. 1: 1.55 m x 44 cm circumference, beak = 9 cm lg. staminat inflorescence No. 1 with primary axis 1.11 m lg. of which 54 cm is covered with rachillae, these ca. 17 cm long. Bract No. 2: 1.66 m long x 43 cm circumference, beak = 8.5 cm long. Staminate inflorescence axis 110 cm long of which 42 cm is covered with 56 rachillae, these ca. 14 cm long. Pistillate inflorescence with 21 fruits fully developed and 14 not developed. Another inflorescence with 16 fruits fully developed and 18 not developed.
