| Field notes | Palm 15m tall, in seasonally inundated open forest along with Acrocomia palms. Leaf sheath 70 x 22 cm, with white lines running length of sheath, petiole 15 cm long, rachis 7. 4m long. Pinnae 177 per side in a single plane and regularly middle arranged, pinnbasal pinnae 1. 6m x 2. 3 cm, pinnae 25 cm x 1. 5 cm. Inflorescence with primary axis 1. 75m, section with rachillae 75 cm, rachillae 243 per staminate inflorescence, brae t 2. 52m long x 30m in circumference, beak 60 cm long. Panicle with 135 fruits. |
