Field notes Ariri is the common name. Solitary palm with acaulescent trunk. 5-9 LEAVES in crown, spirally arranged arid spreading . Leaf petiole 3-4 cm with smooth margins but with a fibrous leaf sheath and concave-convex in transection. Leaf rachis 40-55 cm. 23-27 pairs of pinnae which are distributed in clusters of 2-3 along the rachis in several planes. Middle pinnae 10-20 cm x 1.22-1.6 cm. Androgynous INFLORESCENCE with 26-44 cm peduncle arid 10.5-15 cm rachis. 5-7 rachilla(-, with a length of 4.5-10 cm. Peduncular bract often light orange in color and measuring 38-59 cm including a beak of 1-1.5 cm and the expanded or inflated part of the bract- measuring 1529 cm x 2-3.5 cm. FLOWERS with -light yell-ow colas . Palm species common in this area
