Field notes In deep shade on moss-covered slope close to brook, 40-80 cm tall, basally rising from stolons, lower leaf surface green along veins to weakly wiolet between the veins, corolla red-orange outside, cream inside, the small, constricted throat deep violet, the 4 stamens fused, stigma crean, style weakly bilobed.
