Field notes Terrestrial at lightopen slope, stems villous, hairs yellow-brown, basally with numerous stolons, scaly rhizomes not observed, leaves with upper surface dark green with light green circular areas between the primary veins, lower leaf surface purple with the same parts light green, corolla deep red outside, ventrally and basally yellow, lobes deep red, throat yellow with red-purple markings. Filaments pale yellow, anthers white, nectary yellow, usually of 5 free glands, rarely of 3 free and 2 fused glands, stigma cream. Dublicates: AAU, COL, MECN, QCA, US.
