Field notes Terrestrial, 0.50 m tall, calyx red, corolla red at ba- se otherwise yellow, edge of constricted opening red, discus of two connate glands. Vernacular name| "imbien" (coaiquer). Use| is said to cure the ecyema it provokes itself. Preparation| "bano de seco". The plant is burned and the ash applicated to the bite.
