Field notes Epiphyte. Leaves purple below, dark green above, with red tips. Floral bracts yellow, apically red. Calyx yellow. Corolla tube yellow. Corolla lobes red. Nom. vern.: "Camna-pij" (Coaiquer). Use: for bites of the "Equis" snake. Preparation: the leaves are boiled and placed on the bite while still hot.
