| Field notes | Terrestrial. Flowers pinkish. Leaf purple beneath. Nom. Vern.: Pin tape kapitan (Cayapa); Use: For all kinds of snake bites. It was told to be the best of all herbs for snake bites. Prep.: The leaves are macerated and mixed with a little "agua diente" (sugar cane rum) and drunk. |
