| Field notes | Shrub, 1.2 m tall. Flowers white. Purplish spots on the interior of the corolla. Nom. Vern.: Lluin tape (Cayapa); Use: For bathing the legs of old people afflicted with a dangerous inflammation of their legs. It was told that the inflammation will spread to their heart be- fore they die. It sounds like gangrene. Prep.: The leaves are macerated and mixed with urine. |
