| Field notes | Terrestrial. Sepals red. Corolla yellow with the upper part red. The principal vein and the margins of the leaf are red. Nom. Vern.: Kuta manchi (Cayapa); Use: For bites of the snake "Verrugosa" (Lachesis muta). Prep.: The leaves are boiled and applied to the swelling caused by the bite. The poison will be ab- sorbed and inflammation removed. |
