| Field notes | Flowers white. Cultivated, but only by the negroes. Nom. Vern.: Reuma tape (Cayapa); Use: Used by the negroes for rheumatism. Prep.: The leaves are macerated and applied to the aching parts. The indians do not use it, they say they "know so many other plants". I had to pay for it. |
