| Field notes | Small tree. Leaves grey beneath. Nom. Vern.: Nemutape mirogolachi (Cayapa); Use: Used by the shamans for treatment of headache. The leaves are pressed against the head and pushed up through the hair of the patient; they say the headache is pulled away. As well the whole body of the patient is tapped with twigs for the same purpose. |
