| Field notes | In primary forest. On the ground of the trail. Nom. Vern.: Atenbo tape (Cayapa); Use: For anaemia. Prep.: The leaves are macerated and boiled, and 2 teaspoonfuls are drunk twice a day. Another part of the treatment is to massage the veins - especially the big veins on the arms - with the plant. This species is hard to find. |
