| Field notes | Shrub, 2 m tall in primary forest. Flowers white. Nom. Vern.: Jendape mirogulachi (Cayapa); Use: Used by the shamans for treatment of many ailments such as pains and fever. As part of a ritual the pa- tient is tapped softly with a twig. Later on the sha- man blow on the patient (but with no part of the plant in the mouth). |
