| Field notes | On river bank, partly covered with water, even the fertile leaves are covered at high water level. Nom. Vern.: Apichui tape (Cayapa); Use: For ailments as rheumatism, stomach pains and diarrhoea. As a curing ritual the shamans softly tap the whole body of the patient with leaves of the plant. |
