| Field notes | Shrub, 1.5 m tall. Nom. Vern.: Rojina (Cayapa); Use: For bites of Tabanidae ("Tábano"), which depo- sits its eggs in the skin. The skin will swell and there will be a lot of pus. Prep.: The leaves are macerated, mixed with hot water and applied to the bite. The mixture will remove the larve. |
