| Field notes | Inflorescence with 2 flowers. Petals 5, light green. Corona 3-ranked; outer: 5 cm long, tip flagellike, base brownish; middle: 0.5 cm, purple base, yellow tip; inner: 2 mm, axshaped, edge whitish. Anthers green. Filament yellowish, slightly purplish at the base. Ovary and style green. Stigmas light green. Nom. Vern.: Wero Quinto (Colorado); Use: The fruits are eaten, ("granadilla de loro"). |
