| Field notes | On river bank in primary forest. Stem 2 m tall. Leaves 2.5 m long. Male cone brown. Leaf rachis dark green. Nom. Vern.: Pichi richi (Colorado); Use: The sap of the plant is used for inflamed wounds. It is said to make the wounds heal more quickly. |
