| Field notes | Erect herb. 2 m. Growing non-shaded. Flowers yellow. Nom. Vern.: Ta cantsa (Colorado); Use: The leaves are macerated, mixed with a little water and applied to cuts or similar wounds. The same treatment is used for a disease called "Rasquinia", an allergic disease caused by fungi or lize. The leaves are also used for inflamed throats. They are chewed and the sap is used for gargling. |
