Field notes juvenile leaflets used to wrap meat and rice for carryingsolitary mid-storey palm to 1 Om, stem 7.5cm diameter, dark olive ageing to grey-brown, internodes 9-10cm, crownshaft dark brown striate covered with thin brown indumentum - easily scraped off, brighter green underneath, crownshaft 117cm x 11 cm diameter, sheath to 116cm, leaflets multifold, largely consisting of two leaflets each, leaflet arrangement somewhat irregularly subopposite, fine brown indumentum sparsely distributed on leaf sheath and rachis, 6 leaves in crown, 39-44 leaflets each side, leaf to 2.45m long inc 17cm petiole, inflorescence infrafoliar, branched to 1 order, to 64cm, rachillae 35cm, 30 rachillae, prophyll fallen (single scar), 10cm peduncle, immature fruits greenish-brown, ripe fruits dark red. juvenile leaflets used to wrap meat and rice for carrying. Vernacular: Owe. Dialect: Bahasa Miyah
