| Field notes | Shrub, flowers yellow-green. Maasai name: orkokola Root and stem with bark, the former of highest quality, is used to mix with meat soup to treat "transmitted gonorrhea". Two root pieces 20 cm long and 3 cm thick is boiled for a few minutes mixed with even 10 litres of meat soup, as it is used together with other plants for "transmitted gonorhea" as f.ex. "orkonyil". Number of persons drinking the soup depend on their appetite. Only used for soup, when one feels to have the disease. |
