For one person c. 30 cm bark of roots is extracted in water, it provokes vomiting and diarrhea. Can also be used with fat for the same purpose. Bark of 20 cm long and 4 cm thick branch is is ectracted in water until it get soft. The heated with a little fat to melt it, filtered and drunk. The fat reduce bitterness and add power to the medicine and help to provoke diarrhoea, which start after 2-4 hours. Used by pregnant women to provoke vomiting every second day in the morning. Bark of a branch 30 cm long and 4 cm thick is pounded and extracted in 1 liter of water for half an hour and drunk without mixing with anything. Additional water might be drunk and vomiting provoke by a finger in the throath. The bark of root is neverused by women. Used by warriors to mix with blood. It removes the hookworms if anybody has it, if not it the health as it cleans the blood, so the warriors will obtain a good conditions and become strong and active. 30-40 cm long root pieces c. 1,5 cm wide is rubbed in the fresh blood, so it remains liquid. Same amount of mild and strong are used for the blood. No use for "entasimi". ole Sanguyan, Sendui: Used to provoke vomiting and in soup to refresh the body. For provoking vomiting 20 to 40 cm (dependend on bitterness) of bark of stem or root, is smashed and extracted in water. Kambona ole Sanguyan, Sendui, Irking'onde-agegroup: Used by warriors to mix with maize, when making porridge, not as a medicine, but as a stimulant as it prevent them from being lazy. Bark of stem or root of a size as half of an open hand is boiled for c. 3 minuties in 5-7 litre of water, which is used for the porridge. It can also be used in milk. Ngilole, traditional midwife, Olmekeke: used by pregnant women to provoke vomiting to remain thin and thereby easy delivery, c. every forth day by women pregnant for the first and second time and once or twice by others as they know how to remain thin. Bark of a size as a hand is socked in 1 litre of water and scrized until all sap is wash out and milk is added to reduce bitterness, which can affect the child, so it start to move, cause pain and can provoke delivery. Additional water c. 5 litre is drunk until the stomach is completely clean. It is of same quality as "osukonoi" and preferred as they cure diseases the woman might suffer from, so she feels weak and doesn't have any appetite, specific mentioned to remove hookworms and bile. "Ormukutan" is only used before delivery. |
