Field notes Herb, rayflowers scarlet to light red. Discsflowers yellow. Grow in maizefield. Vernacular name: pacunga rosada. Use: food for the cattle. Medicine for infection in the kidneys: a decoction of the flowers, "cola de caballo" Equisetum, "cucharillo" Oreocallis and other plant species is drunk.
