Field notes Shrub, discsflowers yellow, rayflowers light lilac. Vernacular name: santa maría. Use: burned in the house: the smoke is aromatic. Medicine for ache in the feet, when it is cold: the leaves are heated in the fire and tied around the feet together with "laurel" Myrica and "yadan" Baccharis.
