| Field notes | Herb, flowers white. Vernacular name: borraja. Use: for food, contain vitamin. Medicine for "inflamación de calor" (spanish term): the flowers are used for a drink. For influenza: the leaves are used for dressing on the forehead, the buds is used to drink together with pharmaceutical medicine or roasted and used with "alcanfor" (camphor?) to spit on the sick person. |
